The power of connected learning expands the classroom to infinity and beyond, but students still need a teacher’s guidance.
I think it’s time the power of collaboration and community that social media provides should be harnessed by primary schools. Not only will it encourage better participation from children, it’s also a wonderful opportunity to educate the children and their parents about the pitfalls of social media and the internet in general. Social is here to stay in one form of the other and most companies have a social media policy. So it makes perfect sense to help children develop social media etiquettes from a young age.
